Because the base and the flake are specified together, you are not guessing at broadcast ratios or mixing materials from different suppliers, which keeps the finish consistent from section to section. It ships as a complete system, ready to install.
The 3-gallon base covers up to 400 sq ft as a coating. The 25 lb of flake fully broadcasts 150 to 200 sq ft to rejection; broadcast lighter to stretch coverage toward the full 400 sq ft.
