Everflow EF-290 | High Solids Solvent Polyaspartic (2gal) | (MPC-290)

EF-290 (Polyflow-290) is a solvent-based, two-component aliphatic polyaspartic polyurea topcoat — and the highest-solids (90%) clear coat in the Everflow line. It's built for a high-build finish over solid-color coatings and vinyl flake systems, with superior abrasion, chemical, and UV resistance and a non-yellowing, crystal-clear high-gloss finish.Lays down a thicker, more protective film in fewer coats. Fast-curing — recoat in 2–4 hours — flexible (40% elongation), low-VOC (<50 g/L), and CFIA/USDA recognized. A finish coat for use over a base system, not bare concrete.

DESCRIPTION

When you want the toughest, thickest clear finish in fewer coats, EF-290 is the high-build polyaspartic that delivers.

Polyflow-290 (EF-290) is a solvent-based, two-component, VOC-compliant, aliphatic polyaspartic polyurea coating developed as a UV-stable topcoat for jobs where installation downtime is limited. With the highest solids content in the Everflow polyaspartic line — 90% — it's engineered for a high-build clear coat over solid-color coatings and vinyl flake broadcast (chip) systems, laying down a thicker, more protective film in fewer passes.

As a true aliphatic polyaspartic, EF-290 won't yellow or chalk and keeps a brilliant, glass-clear high-gloss finish indoors and out. It delivers superior abrasion, chemical, and UV resistance — just 0.03 g of Taber abrasion loss — to protect the color and flake beneath from the heaviest traffic. And it cures fast: recoat in 2–4 hours, return foot traffic in 3–6, and vehicle traffic the next day.

Flexible and durable, EF-290 stretches 40% at break to resist cracking, pulls 5,150 psi tensile, and offers ~0.75 DCOF wet traction. At under 50 g/L VOC it's LEED v4 low-emitting and CFIA/USDA recognized for food-plant use. It's a finish coat — apply over a prepared base system, not bare concrete — and comes crystal clear (tinting available, though pigmenting can reduce chemical resistance). With a quick 15–20 minute working window, mix only what you can spread in time.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Highest-Solids, High-Build: 90% solids lays down a thicker, more protective clear film in fewer coats than standard polyaspartics.
  • UV-Stable Clear Finish: Aliphatic polyaspartic chemistry resists yellowing and chalking for a crystal-clear, high-gloss finish indoors and out.
  • Maximum Abrasion & Chemical Resistance: Just 0.03 g Taber abrasion loss shields the color and flake beneath from the heaviest traffic.
  • Fast Return to Service: Recoat in 2–4 hours and walk on it in 3–6 — reopen the space the same day.
  • Built for Flake & Color Systems: The premium high-build clear topcoat over vinyl flake (chip) floors and solid-color coatings.
  • Flexible & Tough: 40% elongation at break resists cracking; 5,150 psi tensile; ~0.75 DCOF wet traction.
  • Low-VOC & Compliant: <50 g/L VOC; CFIA/USDA recognized; LEED v4 low-emitting.
