Everflow EF-285 | VOC Compliant Solvent Polyurea | (MPC-285)

EF-285 (Polyflow-285) is a solvent-based, two-component, VOC-compliant aliphatic polyurea coating developed as a UV-stable primer. Offered in five colors (clear, white, beige, grey, black), it works as a UV-stable primer or colored base coat, with superior abrasion, chemical, and UV resistance and a non-yellowing high-gloss finish.High solids (85%) and fast-curing — recoat in 2–4 hours. Bonds to prepared concrete over a moisture barrier or within a coating system. Flexible (40% elongation), low-VOC (<50 g/L), and CFIA/USDA recognized.

DESCRIPTION

A UV-stable polyurea that primes, colors, and protects — all in one fast-curing coat.

Polyflow-285 (EF-285) is a solvent-based, two-component, VOC-compliant, aliphatic polyurea coating developed as a UV-stable primer for jobs where installation downtime is limited. Unlike a clear-only topcoat, it's offered in five colors — clear, white, beige, grey, and black — so it can serve as a UV-stable primer or a colored base coat in a single product.

As an aliphatic polyurea, EF-285 resists yellowing and chalking while delivering superior abrasion, chemical, and UV resistance and a crystal-clear (or richly pigmented) high-gloss finish. At 85% solids it builds a substantial, protective film, and it cures fast: recoat in 2–4 hours, return foot traffic in 4–8, and vehicle traffic the next day.

It bonds directly to diamond-ground concrete (ICRI CSP-2) over a moisture barrier, or it works within a multi-coat Everflow system. Flexible and durable, it stretches 40% at break, pulls 5,150 psi tensile, and offers ~0.75 DCOF wet traction. At under 50 g/L VOC it's LEED v4 low-emitting and CFIA/USDA recognized for food-plant use. Because the cure is quick, mix only what you can spread in 20–25 minutes; pigmented kits may have a shorter working window.

Key Features & Benefits

  • UV-Stable Polyurea: Aliphatic polyurea resists yellowing and chalking while delivering superior abrasion, chemical, and UV resistance.
  • Primer + Color in One: Available in clear, white, beige, grey, and black — use it as a UV-stable primer or a colored base coat.
  • Fast-Curing: Recoat in 2–4 hours and walk on it in 4–8 — built for limited-downtime jobs.
  • High Solids (85%): Builds a substantial, protective film in fewer coats.
  • Bonds to Prepared Concrete: Apply over diamond-ground concrete (ICRI CSP-2) with a moisture barrier, or within a multi-coat system.
  • Flexible & Tough: 40% elongation at break; 5,150 psi tensile; ~0.75 DCOF wet traction; 89.5 GU gloss.
  • Low-VOC & Compliant: <50 g/L VOC; CFIA/USDA recognized; LEED v4 low-emitting.
