Fast cure for tight schedules and cold jobs

Fast cure and cold tolerant
Recoat in 6 to 8 hours and return foot traffic in 8 to 12; applies on substrates down to 32 degrees F, with best workability at 50 degrees F or warmer.
100% solids, low VOC
Full film build with no shrinkage or solvent off-gassing, under 50 g/L VOC and LEED v4 low-emitting.
High-build primer and binder
Use it as a fast primer over concrete or existing epoxy, or as the binder for patching and resurfacing industrial floors.
Tough mechanicals
6,200 psi compressive, 5,500 psi tensile, 80 to 85 Shore D, and 0.07 g Taber abrasion loss for warehouses, garages, and heavy traffic.
Reduced blushing, food-plant rated
The modified aliphatic formula cures cleaner and more consistently than standard epoxies and meets requirements for indirect food contact.

Why 100% solids matters

LATUX 100% SOLIDS EPOXY HARDWARE-STORE EPOXY PAINT (WATER-BASED)
Solids content 100%, the whole kit becomes floor 30 to 50%, the rest evaporates
Dry film thickness per coat 10 mils or more per coat 2 to 3 mils per coat

Frequently Asked Questions

How fast does EF-150 cure?

At 68°F you can recoat in 6 to 8 hours, walk on it in 8 to 12 hours, and drive on it in about 24 hours. Full chemical cure is roughly 7 days. Cooler temperatures extend these times; warmer temperatures shorten them.

Can I apply EF-150 in cold weather?

Yes, that's what it's built for. EF-150 cures on substrates down to 32°F (0°C) and can be applied from 32°F to 86°F. Workability is best at 50°F or warmer, with ambient humidity under 85%.

Is EF-150 a primer or a finish coat?

It's a high-build primer, base, and binder coat. Apply it directly to prepared concrete or over existing epoxy, then top-coat with a polyaspartic or urethane for color and UV stability.

Is EF-150 UV stable?

As an epoxy, EF-150 will discolor under prolonged UV exposure. For sunlit or outdoor areas, finish it with an Everflow UV-stable polyaspartic or urethane topcoat such as EF-275 or EF-290.

How much floor will one kit cover?

A 3-gallon kit covers 480 to 600 sq ft as a primer (8 to 10 mils) or 200 to 400 sq ft as a wear coat (12 to 24 mils), depending on concrete porosity and profile.

What surface prep does EF-150 need?

Diamond-grind concrete to an ICRI CSP-2 profile, remove all dust, oil, and contaminants, and repair cracks. Substrate moisture must be under 4%, with the slab at least 3°C above the dew point. Use a moisture vapor barrier where hydrostatic pressure is a risk.

Is EF-150 food-safe?

It meets requirements for indirect food contact and use in food-processing plants when properly mixed and cured.

How is EF-150 different from EF-100 and EF-155?

EF-100 is the standard 100% solids base coat. EF-150 is the fast-curing, cold-tolerant version for tight timelines and low temperatures. EF-155 is the super-fast-cure option when you need to turn a floor around even quicker.
