Everflow EF-280 | Polyaspartic Coating Kit (3gal)
EF-280 is Everflow's UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat, a solvent-based, 2-component aliphatic polyaspartic polyurea clear coat that seals and protects solid-color coatings and vinyl flake floors. It lays down a thin-to-medium build clear layer that will not yellow or chalk, and the larger 3-gallon kit covers more floor per unit for crews that want limited downtime.

In the kit
- 3-gallon kit: 7.56 L resin (Part A) plus 3.78 L hardener (Part B)
- Pre-measured 2 to 1 mix ratio by volume
- Crystal-clear base, supplied clear only
Pairs with
Apply EF-280 over a prepared solid-color coating or vinyl-flake base system to seal in the finish, not over bare concrete. It is the UV-stable topcoat that protects an Everflow epoxy floor from abrasion, chemicals, and sunlight. Because the cure is quick, mix only what you can spread in 20 to 25 minutes.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is EF-280 used for?
It's a UV-stable clear topcoat for a thin-to-medium build over solid-color coatings and vinyl flake (chip) systems. It seals in the finish and protects it from wear, chemicals, and sunlight. The final clear layer of a floor system, not a base coat.
How is EF-280 different from EF-275?
They share the same UV-stable polyaspartic performance. EF-280 comes in a larger 3-gallon kit, has a slightly higher solids content (80%), and is built for a thin-to-medium build with more coverage (up to 600 sq ft). EF-275 is the 2-gallon, thin-build version.
Will EF-280 turn yellow?
No, as a true aliphatic polyaspartic it resists yellowing and chalking and keeps a crystal-clear, high-gloss finish in both interior and sun-exposed applications.
How quickly can I reopen the floor?
At 68°F you can recoat in 2 to 4 hours, return foot traffic in 4 to 8 hours, and vehicle traffic in about a day. Full cure is roughly 7 days.
Can I apply EF-280 directly on concrete?
No, it's a topcoat, not recommended directly on bare concrete. Apply it over a prepared base coat or flake system, and make sure the slab has a moisture barrier to prevent delamination.
How much does one kit cover?
A 3-gallon kit covers about 600 sq ft at 8 mils over an existing coating, or about 400 sq ft at 12 mils over a vinyl flake broadcast system.
Can I tint EF-280?
No. EF-280 ships crystal clear only, and Latux does not offer a color pack for it. Build the color into the layer underneath with a solid-color base coat or a vinyl flake broadcast, then seal it with EF-280 as the clear topcoat.
Why does my polyaspartic floor show tire marks?
Rubber tires can stain a polyaspartic coating through plasticizer migration, and quick stops or starts can leave rubber burn marks. Use mats under parked vehicles where staining is a concern.
