EF-301 is Everflow's aliphatic polyurethane finish coat, a 3-component, UV-stable urethane topcoat that cures to a low-sheen satin finish and hides the scuffs and foot-traffic marks that high gloss shows. Formulated with aluminum oxide for slip resistance and low VOC, it is the finishing layer that protects a cured epoxy or urethane floor in kitchens, ramps, entries, and wet-prone areas.

Slip-resistant satin finish over epoxy or urethane

UV-stable satin finish
Aliphatic polyurethane gives a refined, low-sheen satin look that will not yellow, ideal where high gloss shows every scuff.
Slip-resistant
Formulated with aluminum oxide for about 0.80 DCOF wet traction and added safety underfoot.
Best-in-line abrasion and chemical resistance
Just 0.02 g of Taber abrasion loss with excellent chemical resistance to protect the floor below.
Low VOC
At under 50 g/L it is a low-VOC topcoat and LEED v4 low-emitting.
High coverage
A 1-gallon kit covers about 350 to 450 sq ft at 5 mils wet film thickness.
Goes over epoxy or urethane
Apply as the finishing coat over a cured epoxy or urethane base, not bare concrete.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is EF-301 used for?

It's a UV-stable, chemical-resistant satin polyurethane finish coat applied over a cured epoxy or urethane floor. It protects the system, hides scuffs with a low-sheen look, and adds slip resistance.

Is the finish glossy or satin?

Satin, about 35 GU at 60°. The lower sheen hides foot traffic marks and scuffs better than a high-gloss coating, which is why it's popular for commercial and high-traffic spaces.

Is EF-301 slip-resistant?

Yes. Formulated with aluminum oxide, it provides roughly 0.80 DCOF wet traction, a strong choice for ramps, entries, kitchens, and other wet-prone areas.

How is EF-301 mixed?

It's a 3-component system: combine 4 parts hardener A with 1 part resin B by volume, then add the part C powder. Mix for no more than 1 minute on a low-speed drill and apply right away.

Can I apply EF-301 directly on concrete?

No, it's a finish coat, not recommended on bare concrete. Apply it over an existing, cured epoxy or urethane coating.

How much does one kit cover?

A 1-gallon kit covers about 350 to 450 sq ft at 5 mils wet film thickness, rolling on thin and even.

How is EF-301 different from the polyaspartic topcoats?

EF-301 is a satin, slip-resistant, low-VOC (<50 g/L) polyurethane with top-tier abrasion and chemical resistance. The EF-275/280/290 polyaspartics are high-gloss, faster-curing clear coats. Choose EF-301 for a low-sheen, anti-slip, chemical-tough finish.

How long before I can use the floor?

At 68°F, foot traffic returns in about a day and vehicle traffic in roughly two days, with full chemical cure in about 7 days.
