What the Premera products we stock are for

All four Premera floor coatings we carry are single-component. No mixing, no pot life to race. Three of them do their work under the floor: Easy MVB slows slab moisture from inside the concrete, FP1 bonds the next coat to the slab or to an old coating, and QuickSeal pre-seals porous concrete before a topcoat. None of those three is the wear layer. You still build an epoxy or polyaspartic system on top, or finish with Premera T2, a clear topcoat you spray on in one coat over polished concrete, terrazzo, tile or an existing epoxy floor.

How Premera stacks in a floor system

• Test the slab first. Easy MVB's 25 lb rating applies to Easy MVB used together with FP1, not on its own. Confirm the slab with a calcium chloride or RH test before you buy. How to test concrete moisture.
• Easy MVB, then FP1. Spray Easy MVB two coats wet-on-wet to saturation, recoat within 24 hours with no sanding, then prime with FP1. On slabs under 28 days old, Easy MVB goes first.
• FP1, then the floor. FP1 goes tacky in 15 to 20 minutes at 72F. Top it inside the 90 minute window with a solvent-based or 100% solids coating, not a water-based topcoat. Miss the window and you screen and re-prime.
• QuickSeal on porous concrete. One coat on tight concrete, up to three on absorbent slabs. Add 1 to 2 oz of acetone-based dye per gallon to stain and seal in one pass.
• T2 on top. One sprayed coat over densified 800+ grit polished concrete, terrazzo, tile or a cured coating, or wet on wet into fresh metallic epoxy. Troweled, ground or lower-grit concrete gets QuickSeal first.

Common questions

Where can I buy Premera coatings?

Here. Easy MVB, FP1, QuickSeal and T2 ship UPS Ground, free over $150, or pick up at our Pompano Beach counter.

Does Premera FP1 need a ground slab?

On clean, sound concrete, FP1 primes with no grinding. It also bonds an existing coating to your next layer.

Can I use Easy MVB without FP1?

It still seals the pores, but the 25 lb moisture vapor rating only applies with FP1 on top.

Can a water-based topcoat go over FP1?

No. Use a solvent-based or 100% solids coating over FP1.
