What the Everflow EF series covers

Everflow numbers its products, and the EF series runs from the crack in the slab to the last clear coat. That is the point of staying in one line: each EF floor product's page pairs it with the next EF product in the build, and the floor products all call for the same prep, a diamond-ground slab at ICRI CSP-2. It covers epoxy garage floors, flake and metallic floors, commercial slabs, countertops and casting.

Everflow EF was sold as MPC

If your spec or your last order says MPC, you are in the right place. The EF series was previously sold under the MPC name. The EF-100 page puts it plainly: previously sold as MPC-100, same formula, same manufacturer, new name. The same note is printed on the EF-150, EF-155, EF-160, EF-191, EF-195, EF-275, EF-280, EF-285, EF-290, EF-301 and EF-Masterflow pages, so MPC-100 is EF-100, MPC-280 is EF-280, and so on down the line.

Building a floor from the EF series

1. Prep. Diamond grind to ICRI CSP-2. The grinder buying guide sizes the machine, and cup wheels handle the edges.
2. Cracks. Fill them with EF-135. Patch in the morning, coat in the afternoon.
3. Moisture. On a damp or green slab, EF-160 goes down first. It bonds to concrete cured as little as 14 days. More in Moisture Vapor Barrier.
4. Base. EF-100 for a standard solid color build, EF-150 when the job is cold or the schedule is tight, EF-155 to lay flake or a metallic base the same day. Color it with pigment pods. For metallic floors, pour EF-Masterflow with one 160 g metallic pod per kit.
5. Topcoat. EF-275, EF-280 or EF-290 for a clear polyaspartic that does not yellow in sun, or EF-301 for a satin, slip-resistant finish over cured epoxy or urethane.

Common questions

Where can I buy Everflow epoxy?

Here. The EF series ships UPS Ground, free over $150, or you can pick it up at our Pompano Beach counter in South Florida.

Is Everflow the same as MPC epoxy?

Yes. The EF series was previously sold under the MPC name, and each of those product pages says only the name changed. MPC-100 is now EF-100.

How much does one EF-100 kit cover?

150 to 200 sq ft per 3-gallon kit as a base coat, or 480 to 600 sq ft as a primer at 8 to 10 mils.

EF-150 or EF-155?

EF-150 recoats in 6 to 8 hours and handles cold substrates down to 32 degrees F. EF-155 recoats in 2 to 4 hours, so a flake or metallic base and its topcoat can go down in one day.

Which Everflow topcoat should I use?

EF-280 for most garage and shop floors, EF-290 when you want the thickest clear film in fewer coats, EF-275 as the thin clear coat over flake, and EF-301 where you want satin and grip.
