Enviro-Grip ep#2sc

A two-component epoxy primer that bites into metal flashings and stands up to medium-to-heavy traffic.

Enviro-Grip ep#2sc is a two-component solvenated epoxy-polyamine penetrating primer. Side A (black) and Side B (white) mix 1 to 1 by volume and cure into a tough, chemically bonded base coat. The solvent carrier drives the resin into tight, dense substrates, so it grips where waterborne primers slip.

Reach for ep#2sc on metal flashings, transitions, and medium-to-heavy-duty traffic areas that demand more bond strength than a pedestrian primer delivers. It is the workhorse primer in the PSI system for tough surfaces. Mix only what your crew can place inside the pot life. The color shift from black and white to a uniform gray tells you the two sides are fully blended.

Miami-Dade Notice of Acceptance

Miami-Dade County, Florida NOA No. 25-0604.15, expires 03/06/2031 (March 6, 2031).

Enviro-Grip ep#2sc is the low-VOC grade of PSI Enviro-Grip EP#2, the two-component liquid applied epoxy-polyamine primer that the Notice of Acceptance lists as Enviro-Grip #2 under test specification ASTM C836. The NOA covers the Flexideck C-WD waterproofing system from Polytuff Systems International as a whole on concrete decks, approved 06/26/2025. It is not an approval of the primer used on its own.

The NOA states that the system is designed to comply with the Florida Building Code including the High Velocity Hurricane Zone of the Florida Building Code, to a maximum design pressure of -502.5 psf. Enviro-Grip #2 is the primer in the approved assembly that finishes with porcelain tile. It goes onto prepared concrete at 1 gallon of mixed Part A and Part B per 300 sq ft, applied by brush or phenolic core roller, to a minimum coating thickness of 3 dry mils, and is left to become tack free and free of puddling before the base coat. New concrete must be cured 14 to 28 days. The NOA specifies Enviro-Grip #1 for the assembly without a tile topping, so confirm which assembly you are building with your Latux rep before you order.

The NOA also requires, at Limitation 5, that the work be done by a contractor licensed for roofing and waterproofing who is a Manufacturer Trained Qualified Applicator approved and licensed by Polytuff Systems International. Latux is on that approved applicator list, so the company that supplies the system can also install it.
