B-Tuff Etch

A biodegradable, non-acid etch that profiles and cleans concrete so your primer and membrane actually bond.

B-Tuff Etch is a concentrated, VOC-free concrete profiling and cleaning solution that opens up the surface without the hazards of muriatic or phosphoric acid. It will not burn skin, will not corrode metal, and rinses away clean, leaving a uniform profile that gives PSI primers, coatings, stains, and sealers the tooth they need to grip. On balconies, breezeways, pool decks, garage floors, and parking structures, it stands in for mechanical grinding on jobs where dust and downtime are not an option.

Start on a dry, structurally sound surface. Apply by pump sprayer and agitate with a stiff bristle broom to drive the etch into the concrete, then power wash to lift the loosened dirt, laitance, and residue. Coverage runs 150 to 200 sq ft per gallon for light-duty profiling and tightens toward 50 to 100 sq ft per gallon for heavy-duty work. Let the deck dry fully before you prime.
