P-Tuff Classic is named in that Notice of Acceptance as the base coat of the Flexideck C-WD waterproofing system from Polytuff Systems International, approved 06/26/2025. The acceptance covers the assembly as a whole on concrete decks. It is not an approval of the base coat used on its own.

The NOA states that the system is designed to comply with the Florida Building Code including the High Velocity Hurricane Zone of the Florida Building Code, to a maximum design pressure of -502.5 psf. Both approved assemblies place P-Tuff Classic over an Enviro-Grip primer at 2 1/2 gallons per 100 sq ft, with 16-30 mesh clean silica sand broadcast into the wet base coat at 20 pounds per 100 sq ft till refusal. Minimum coating thickness is 32 ± 2 dry mils in the assembly without tile, on minimum 3000 psi concrete, and 40 ± 2 dry mils in the assembly with porcelain tile, on minimum 2500 psi concrete. New concrete must be cured 14 to 28 days, and an integrity test to ASTM D 5957 by an approved lab is required.

The NOA also requires, at Limitation 5, that the work be done by a contractor licensed for roofing and waterproofing who is a Manufacturer Trained Qualified Applicator approved and licensed by Polytuff Systems International. Latux is on that approved applicator list, so the company that supplies the system can also install it.

Prime first with an Enviro-Grip PSI primer, treat joints and cracks with PTS E-101 sealant and reinforcement tape, then finish with a PSI topcoat. Add a P-Tuff Catalyst vial for faster cure in cold weather (up to 3 vials per 5 gallons).
