Turbo Supreme Diamond Cup Wheel for Concrete Prep (5 in. and 7 in.)

The Turbo Supreme diamond cup wheel opens concrete to the ICRI CSP 2 to 3 profile that Everflow epoxy and polyaspartic coatings need for a lasting bond. Turbo segment geometry strips laitance, curing compounds, and old sealers on any standard angle grinder with a 5/8-11 UNC spindle. Choose 5 in. for edges and tight work or 7 in. for open floor.

Turbo Supreme Diamond Cup Wheel for Concrete Prep (5 in. and 7 in.)

The Turbo Supreme diamond cup wheel opens concrete to the ICRI CSP 2 to 3 profile that Everflow epoxy and polyaspartic coatings need for a proper bond. It runs on a standard angle grinder with a 5/8-11 UNC spindle, in a 5 inch size for edges and tight work and a 7 inch for open floor. This is the prep tool that anchors a coating into the slab instead of letting it sit on top.

What makes it work

Which size do you need?

Turbo Supreme diamond cup wheel, back of the body showing the 5/8-11 UNC threaded arbor and cooling holes
5 in.
EDGES AND TIGHT WORK
Perimeters, corners, closets, stair treads, and anywhere a walk-behind grinder cannot reach. Lighter in the hand, so it is easier to control for a long stretch of edge work.
7 in.
OPEN FLOOR, FASTER
More face on the slab per pass, so you cover ground faster on the main floor. Needs a grinder rated for a 7 inch wheel.

The right profile for a coating that stays down

Opens concrete to CSP 2 to 3
Creates the surface roughness needed for mechanical adhesion on all Everflow epoxy and polyaspartic systems.
Aggressive turbo segment
The turbo geometry removes concrete efficiently, stripping surface laitance, curing compounds, and existing sealers in one pass.
Fits a standard angle grinder
The 5/8-11 UNC arbor threads onto the angle grinders already used on professional floor prep, so there is no dedicated machine to buy.
Cooling holes through the body
Vent holes move air and dust away from the cutting face, which helps the segments run cooler and last longer in dry grinding.
Prevents adhesion failures
Most epoxy failures trace back to inadequate prep. The correct profile removes the leading cause of epoxy delamination callbacks.
Carry both sizes
Crews typically run the 7 inch across the floor and keep a 5 inch on the second grinder for the perimeter, so the edge is finished to the same profile.

Works with

Required prep for Everflow coatings, including EF-100, EF-150, EF-155, EF-160, and the full epoxy and polyaspartic line. Grind the slab to ICRI CSP 2 to 3, vacuum the dust, then prime or coat.

What bond hardness should I choose?

Bond hardness is the inverse of concrete hardness. Use a soft bond for hard concrete (3500 plus PSI) and a hard bond for soft concrete (under 3000 PSI). The wrong bond drastically reduces tool life.

How long will they last?

Life varies by application. 500 to 2,000 sq ft is typical for aggressive surface-prep segments. Fine polishing pads last longer, and proper water cooling extends life.

What is the difference between segment heights?

Higher segment height means more material removal and longer life. Lower segment height gives a finer finish profile. Choose based on how aggressive the prep needs to be.
