Waterfront buildings, marina service areas and anything that gets hosed down with water that came off a boat carry chloride on the concrete. It has to be ground off and washed off, not coated over. A good grind with dust collection is the start of every waterfront floor we would put our name on.

Hot tires, bottom paint and hydraulic oil

Marine work brings its own chemicals: bottom paint, solvents, fuel, and hydraulic fluid dripping off forklifts that move boats in and out of racks. A 100% solids epoxy base under a polyaspartic or polyurethane wear course handles most of it and makes the floor easy to clean.
