EF-100 is a 3-gallon, 100% solids epoxy floor kit and Everflow's flagship base coat. Garage floors, shops, warehouses and food plants. It self-levels to a high-gloss finish and bonds to diamond-ground concrete or existing epoxy. Pros also use it as a high-build primer and as a patching binder.

Flows out smooth and high-build with no shrinkage, so one product handles coating, priming, patching, and resurfacing.
Heavy-duty mechanicals
6,200 psi compressive, 5,500 psi tensile, 80 to 85 Shore D, and 0.1 g Taber abrasion loss stand up to industrial traffic.
Cycloaliphatic clarity
The cycloaliphatic formula reduces the water spotting and amine blushing that cloud ordinary epoxies, for a cleaner, more consistent cure.
High coverage and value
Plan on 150 to 200 sq ft per 3-gallon kit as a base coat. As a primer at 8 to 10 mils it stretches to 480 to 600 sq ft; as a metallic coat, 100 to 150 sq ft.
Low VOC and food-plant rated
Under 50 g/L VOC with Class A fire performance, 0 flame spread and 15 smoke developed, and it meets requirements for indirect food contact.

Why 100% solids matters
Hardware-store kits are usually water-based at 30 to 50% solids, so most of what you roll on evaporates. With EF-100, the whole kit stays on the floor.

How much floor will one EF-100 kit cover?
A 3-gallon kit covers 150 to 200 sq ft as a base coat, stretches to 480 to 600 sq ft as a primer (8 to 10 mils), and covers 100 to 150 sq ft as a metallic coat, depending on concrete porosity and the profile of the slab.
How long until I can walk or drive on the floor?
At 68°F you can recoat in 18 to 24 hours, allow light foot traffic in about a day, and vehicle traffic in roughly two days. Full chemical cure takes about 7 days. Warmer temperatures speed this up; cooler temperatures slow it down. Recoat within 48 hours or you'll need to sand the previous coat first.
What's the difference between EF-100, EF-150, and EF-155?
EF-100 is the standard 100% solids base coat, the all-purpose workhorse. EF-150 is the fast-curing, cold-tolerant version for tight timelines and low temperatures. EF-155 is the super-fast-cure option built for same-day metallic and chip systems.
Is EF-100 UV stable?
As an epoxy, EF-100 will discolor under prolonged UV exposure. For sunlit, outdoor, or high-light areas, finish it with an Everflow UV-stable polyaspartic or urethane topcoat such as EF-275 or EF-290.
What surface prep does EF-100 need?
Diamond-grind the concrete to an ICRI CSP-2 profile and remove all dust, oil, and contaminants. The slab should be at least 3,635 psi compressive strength, under 4% moisture, and at least 3°C above the dew point. Repair all cracks and holes before coating.
Do I need a moisture vapor barrier first?
If your slab is subject to hydrostatic pressure or high moisture vapor emission, apply a moisture vapor barrier such as Everflow EF-160 before EF-100. Coating a high-moisture slab without a barrier risks delamination.
Is EF-100 food-safe?
It meets requirements for indirect food contact and use in food-processing plants when properly mixed, applied, and cured.
What is the working time after mixing?
About 30 to 40 minutes at 70°F and 50% humidity. Mix Part B into Part A for no more than 1 minute on a low-speed drill, then pour immediately. Never let mixed product sit in the bucket, as it will heat up and cure rapidly.
How many EF-100 kits do I need for a 2-car garage?
A typical 2-car garage runs about 400 to 500 sq ft. At 150 to 200 sq ft per kit as a base coat, plan on 3 kits for one coat. If you prime first, one kit covers 480 to 600 sq ft at 8 to 10 mils. See our garage coverage guide for the full chart.
Can I put EF-100 over an existing epoxy floor?
Yes, as long as the old coating is sound and bonded. Clean it, sand it to dull the gloss, and remove all dust before you pour. Anything peeling or loose has to come off first.
Will EF-100 lift under hot tires?
It's built to resist hot tire pickup, one of the most common failures with water-based garage epoxy paint. Good prep matters most: grind to CSP-2 and give it about 2 days before you park on it.
How is EF-100 different from hardware-store epoxy?
Hardware-store kits are usually water-based at 30 to 50% solids, so most of what you roll on evaporates and leaves 2 to 3 mils. EF-100 is 100% solids. Everything in the kit stays on the floor, 10 mils or more per coat.
What tools do I need to apply EF-100?
A diamond grinder for prep, a low-speed drill and mixing paddle, a rubber squeegee, a roller with a 10 mm nap, and spike shoes.
Can I use EF-100 for a metallic epoxy floor?
Yes. As a metallic coat, one kit covers 100 to 150 sq ft. Add metallic pigment, and follow our step-by-step metallic guide.
What is the mix ratio and what colors does it come in?
2 to 1 by volume, pre-measured in the kit: 7.56 L of Part A resin and 3.78 L of Part B hardener. It comes in clear, white, beige, light grey, medium grey and black.
