Everflow EF-275 | Solvent Based Polyaspartic (2gal)
EF-275 is a solvent-based polyaspartic clear coat in a 2-gallon kit, made to seal epoxy, solid-color and vinyl flake floors. Garages, shops and commercial spaces that need to reopen the same day. It won't yellow or chalk, and one kit covers about 400 sq ft over an existing coating.

Pairs with
Seal an EF-100 base coat or a vinyl flake broadcast from our 25 lb flake box with EF-275. On a damp slab, lay down EF-160 moisture vapor barrier first. Diamond grind concrete to ICRI CSP-2 and build the base before the clear coat.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is EF-275 used for?
It's a UV-stable clear topcoat applied over solid-color coatings and vinyl flake (chip) systems to seal in the finish and protect it from wear, chemicals, and sunlight. It's the final clear layer of a floor system, not a base coat.
Will EF-275 turn yellow?
No. As a true aliphatic polyaspartic, it resists yellowing and chalking and keeps a crystal-clear, high-gloss finish in both interior and sun-exposed applications.
How quickly can I reopen the floor?
Fast, at 68°F you can recoat in 2 to 4 hours, allow foot traffic in 4 to 8 hours, and vehicle traffic in about a day. Full cure is roughly 7 days.
Can I apply EF-275 directly on concrete?
No, it's a topcoat, not recommended for use directly on bare concrete. Apply it over a prepared base coat or flake system. Make sure the slab has a moisture barrier to avoid delamination.
How much does one kit cover?
A 2-gallon kit covers about 400 sq ft at 8 mils over an existing coating, or about 267 sq ft at 12 mils over a vinyl flake broadcast system.
Can I get EF-275 in a color?
No. EF-275 ships crystal clear only, and Latux does not offer a color pack for it. Build the color into the layer underneath with a solid-color base coat or a vinyl flake broadcast, then seal it with EF-275 as the clear topcoat.
Why are there tire marks on my polyaspartic floor?
Rubber tires can stain a polyaspartic coating through plasticizer migration, and quick stops or starts can leave rubber burn marks. This is normal for clear coatings; use floor mats under vehicles where staining is a concern.
What is the working time after mixing?
About 20 to 25 minutes at 70°F. Mix only what you can spread within that window and never leave mixed product in the bucket.
Is polyaspartic better than epoxy for a garage floor?
They do different jobs. Epoxy like EF-100 builds the base and bonds to the concrete. Polyaspartic goes on top as the clear coat: it won't yellow in sunlight and it resists abrasion, with just 0.03 g Taber loss. Most garage systems use both. See our Polyaspartic vs Epoxy guide.
How many EF-275 kits do I need for a 2-car garage?
A typical 2-car garage runs about 400 to 500 sq ft. Over an existing coating at 8 mils one kit covers about 400 sq ft, so plan on 1 to 2 kits. Over a vinyl flake broadcast at 12 mils a kit covers about 267 sq ft, so plan on 2 kits.
What's the difference between EF-275 and EF-280?
Same UV-stable polyaspartic performance. EF-275 is the 2-gallon kit at 75% solids for thin clear coats. EF-280 is the 3-gallon kit at 80% solids and covers more floor per kit, about 600 sq ft.
What temperature can I apply EF-275 in?
Apply between 41 and 86°F. Working time is 20 to 25 minutes at 70°F and gets shorter when it's hot, so mix small batches on warm days.
Is EF-275 slippery when wet?
It tests at about 0.75 DCOF wet (ASTM E303-93). Keep in mind a high-gloss clear coat over a smooth base will feel slicker than a textured flake floor.
What is the VOC content?
Under 100 g/L, LEED v4 low-emitting. If your state has a stricter VOC limit, EF-285 is under 50 g/L.
How does shipping work?
Free UPS Ground shipping on orders of $150 or more. A single EF-275 kit qualifies. You can also pick up free at our Pompano Beach warehouse. For large jobs or contractor pricing, message your Latux rep.
